Service Program

BURLEY – Teresa Rae Barlow, a loving mother and wife, passed away at home on the morning of Wednesday, May 3, 2023.

Teresa was born January 14, 1963, in Clearfield, Utah, to Raymond and Darlene Jean Garfield Kenny, and surrounded by a large family. She was one of six children. She was influenced by her mother and family to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time and energy to others and helping where she was needed.

She met Troy Langer in 1983, and together they had three daughters, Hilary, Tessla, and Breanna. They shared 18 years together and raised their children in the Declo/Burley area and she really enjoyed being a mother and loved her daughters dearly.

Teresa later reconnected with her high school sweetheart, Shane Barlow, and they married September 1, 2007. From this marriage she gained two beautiful stepdaughters. She loved her husband and they have had many happy years together. She and Shane had so many friends and we know how much she will be missed by them.

Teresa was employed by Walmart as a customer service manager. She loved her job and was a dedicated employee for 21 years. She made a lot of really good friends while working there. We believe that Teresa’s greatest joy in life was being a grandmother. She was always thrilled to spend time with her grandchildren. She loved watching her family grow and attending their events and performances.

In 2020, Teresa’s oldest daughter, Hilary, passed away unexpectedly. She missed her so much and had a hard time coping with that loss. She recently had been attending church and building a relationship with the Lord and we are comforted in knowing that she has had a glorious reunion with her daughter in heaven. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Goodbye to a wonderful woman.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Shane Barlow; her two daughters, Tessla (Jacoby) Judd, and Breanna (Alvin) Buschhorn; her two stepdaughters, Crystal (Valentin) Lara, and Kyndra Barlow; fourteen grandchildren; her brother, Stormy; and sisters, Kimberly, and Jenny.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 12, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, where family and friends will be received for a visitation from 10 until 11 a.m., prior to the service.
