Cheryl Jean Knopp

Jun. 30, 1961 - Oct. 18, 2026

Date of Service: Oct. 26, 2026

BURLEY – Cheryl Jean Knopp, 65, of Burley, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2026, at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center, in Twin Falls.

Cheryl was born June 30, 1961, in Buena Park, California, the daughter of Sidney Walter and Jean Wood Stokes.

What Cheryl enjoyed most in life was her family – especially family gatherings and being around her grandchildren. She loved her family above all else. Her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family meant the world to her. She was always looking for a reason to get everyone together, especially for a family barbecue. It didn't have to be a special occasion or a holiday. To Cheryl, simply having everyone together was reason enough to celebrate.

To all whom Cheryl touched she was so much more than just a mother, sister or aunt etc. She was a familiar voice, a source of laughter, someone who could give you a hard time one minute and remind you how much you were loved the next. She was part of the stories, the memories, the family gatherings, and the moments that made growing up and being together so special.

Cheryl leaves behind a large, deeply devoted family of many loved ones who will carry her memory forward. She is survived by her loving sons, Kevin and Jerry Jones; and her dear sisters, Bobbie Gibson and Lynn Clark. Her legacy lives on through her deeply cherished grandchildren, including her very important grandson, Keagan Jones; as well as Nicolas Bjorn, James Wendell, and Brianna Icon. Cheryl also leaves behind many other loved ones who meant the world to her, including her beloved nieces and nephews, Jacob Winters, Amanda Winters, Destiny Martindale, and Dillon Pilgram. Though she is deeply missed by those who remain, comfort is found in knowing that she has been peacefully reunited in eternal rest with her mother, Jean Stokes; her father, Sidney (Sid) Stokes; her beloved son, Scotty Lewis; and her precious daughter, Jamie Wendell.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 26, at the Fairfield Inn, located at 230 W. 7th St. N., in Burley.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home of Burley.
