BURLEY – Lovella Rose Bryan, known affectionately as Rose and Grandma Rose, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at age 85, at her residence at Parke View Rehabilitation & Care Center in Burley.
Rose, born and raised in Burley, was a graduate of Burley High School. Rose was perhaps best-known by the businesspeople in Cassia and Minidoka counties as an advertising sales representative for the South Idaho Press where she worked for many years. She was also employed at the Burley Care Center.

Rose is survived by her sister, Linda Bergener, but predeceased by her sister, Kathy (“Kitty”) German, and her mother, Alpha Jane Shill. She is survived by her daughters, Danielle (Bryan) Santomassimo of Denville, New Jersey, and Debra Martinez of Burley. Rose was a grandmother to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who live in New Jersey, New York, Utah, Washington, and across Idaho. Her sense of humor and spirit will be missed by all.
Rose will be blessed at a service to be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 5, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E. 16th Street, in Burley, where family and friends will be received from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow at Gem Memorial Gardens in Burley.
