MURTAUGH – John Michel Kloer, 71, passed away peacefully at his longtime country home in Murtaugh, Idaho, early Friday, September 18, 2026.
John was born and raised in the area, where he made his home and built a life surrounded by the people and places he loved. He spent much of his career operating heavy equipment in various capacities, taking pride in his work and the knowledge he gained along the way.
John was a true countryman who found happiness in the simple things in life. He loved traveling on his motorcycle, hunting, gardening, and spending time outdoors. But above all, John treasured the time he spent surrounded by his family and close friends. He knew well the true wealth of life.
Those who knew John will remember his quick sense of humor, kind heart, optimistic nature, and the wealth of knowledge he carried with him. He always seemed to have a story to share, a little wisdom to offer, and a way of making people laugh. His easygoing nature and genuine character made him someone people were grateful to have in their lives.
John was preceded in death by his father, Slim (Harold); his mother, Audria; and his brothers, Jed, Paul, and Bob.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Jed and Takisha; and his grandchildren, Grace, Ella, Addy, Beckham, and Liam.
John was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Though he is gone, his memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love and wisdom he shared throughout his life.
The family would also like to express their deepest gratitude to all the staff at St. Luke’s Cancer Center of Twin Falls, as well as Dr. Thibault and her staff, for their compassionate care, dedication, and kindness.
The funeral is pending and will be announced by Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home of Burley.
