Service Program

PAUL – Sherry Lou Wilson, passed away on April 29, 2026, at Autumn Haven Assisted Living in Rupert. Sherry was surrounded by her children and wonderful Autumn Haven staff. We as a family want to give a big heartfelt thank you to Dr. Swenson, his staff, the staff at Autumn Haven, and the wonderful people at Visions Home Health and Hospice who have helped make our mother’s final months peaceful.

Sherry L. Wilson was born on September 1, 1943, to Jack and Lenor Robinson in Boise. She joined her brother Roy who was four years 364 days older, she would always tell him that he was not five years older than her. At three years old her family moved to Paul. She attended Paul elementary, and then graduated from Minico High School in 1961. Sherry was an avid bowler, going to state city tournaments and gutter gussy. She also enjoyed darts, rides to the mountain, and her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Sherry is survived by her children, Darin (Sandra) Wilson, Julie (Lonnie) Smith, and Lloyd (Shaunna) Wilson. Nine grandchildren along with their spouses, 16 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and her sister-in-law Joy.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 8, at Paul Cemetery, located at 550 W 100 N, in Paul, Idaho. Following the service, there will be a barbecue and clay pigeon shoot out at 961 West Baseline, in Paul, “Lila’s House”.

Arrangements have been entrusted in the care of Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home of Burley.

We moved next door to Sherry when I was 6. She was 5. We attended all 12 grades of school together. In many ways she was my guardian angel. She was a very important part of my life. Jim and I remember Sherry from grade school. Jim was her age and I was 2 years younger. She was always very nice to both of us. I was on her intermural basketball team and she taught me the game. We were friends on Facebook.
Those days will always be remembered.
