RUPERT – Barbara G. Cole, an 86-year-old resident of Rupert, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026, at her home.

Barbara was born in Rupert, Idaho, on April 12, 1939, to John Jackson Fleck Jr. and Iola (Yost) Fleck. She married the love of her life, Don Cole, in December of 1960. They had five children, David, Mike, Deanna, Doreen, and Ron Cole.

Barbara worked at various fresh packs including Rolland Jones, Sun Valley Potatoes, and Arrowhead Potatoes. She loved to travel, grow a garden, quilt with the “Stitchers and Bitchers,” and bake delicious desserts. Her greatest joy in life was watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow. She will be very missed by all who knew and loved her.

Barbara is survived by her son, Ron (Ruby) Cole; sister, Brenda Cottom; brother, Wayne (Alice) Fleck; sister-in-law, Vicki Cole; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Mike and John; sisters, Betty and Carol; sons, David and Mike; daughters, Deanna and Doreen; and great-grandsons, Iziah and Isaac.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 27, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley. Burial will follow at Rupert Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, March 26, and one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday.
