Service Program

HEYBURN – Bonnie Marie Anderson peacefully passed away into her eternity with the Lord on March 2, 2026.

She was born in Rupert, Idaho on March 9, 1943, to Ruby and Harry Workman. She married her husband of 51 years, Douglas O. Anderson, on September 11, 1961. Doug passed away November 27, 2012. He is now reunited with her in God’s Heavenly Kingdom.

Bonnie is survived by her three daughters, Teresa Wardhaugh (Curtis), Catherine Reno (Scott), and Christy Wingate (John); along with her four grandchildren, Gavin and Gabe Haley, Hannah Piper, and Madeleine Wingate; and great-grandchildren Asher and Lennon Haley, Conrad Haley and Georgia Piper; her siblings, Louise Weathers, John Workman, and Linda Turpin; as well as 11 nieces and nephews two of which are celebrating with her in God’s kingdom. She is also survived by Miss Kitty who kept her company for many years.

With her family, Bonnie traveled and lived in many places before finally coming home to Rupert. Some of her favorite times were spent camping and traveling with her friends and family. Golfing and skiing were sports she enjoyed, even though she struggled at both. She spent many happy times playing Canasta with her sisters, brother and daughter.

Bonnie will be terribly missed by her family and circle of many friends. We all now rejoice with her as she meets her Lord Jesus Christ and is rejoined with her loved ones who preceded her.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, located at 802 F St., in Rupert, with the Rev. Father Camilo Garcia as celebrant. Urn placement will follow at the Rupert Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, March 9, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 East 16th Street in Burley, where recitation of the Rosary begin at 6 p.m.

From Linda Hollinger:
We moved into Bonnie’s neighborhood in 2004. She came over and introduced herself shortly after.
We took yoga together for a few years and visited occasionally when we were both outside.
I will miss her.
From Carla Mortenson:
My dear friend. I loved her from the moment we met, so many years ago. She had a smile that lit up her face, & everyone around her. A true lady. We have laughed so hard we cried, had many adventures together, many lunches, dinners, hanging out on our patios. I will miss this sweet soul, but feel such happiness for her as she is united once again with her sweetheart. May her beautiful daughters, & families find peace & joy for their important moment's & tender memories of their wonderful mother. God bless you all.
