Service Program

POCATELLO – Margaret Ann Clark Miller passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in Pocatello, Idaho. She was 72 years old.

Margaret was born on October 2, 1953, in Burley, Cassia County, Idaho, to Richard Glenn Clark and Shirley Ann (Ratliff) Clark. She was raised in Albion, Idaho, and graduated from Declo High School.

Margaret lived her life with compassion, empathy, and quiet thoughtfulness. Those who knew her remember her as genuinely kind and deeply caring.

Margaret attended Idaho State University to pursue Elementary Education, following in her mother’s footsteps. She later served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fukuoka, Japan. Following her mission, she attended Utah State University and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education.

During her senior year at Utah State, Margaret began dating Scott Miller, whom she had known from Idaho State. They were soon married in the Logan Temple and together built a beautiful life centered around love and family. They were blessed with five children: Sarah Elizabeth Allen, Brandon Scott Miller, John Paul Miller, Rachel Ann Miller, and Rebekah Mary Colman. Margaret adored her sons- and daughters-in-law: Bradley Allen (Sarah), Laura Knoll (Brandon), Knicki Massie Miller (John), and Douglas Colman (Rebekah).

While she loved being a mother, one of Margaret’s greatest joys in life was being a grandmother. She cherished her grandchildren: Kira, Juliette, Ely, and Maeve and she treasured time spent with them.

Margaret especially loved being with her family. She enjoyed cruises—most recently to the Bahamas—along with birthday parties, lunches with friends, long phone calls with loved ones, and friendly conversations with acquaintances. She also looked forward to family game nights and taking drives around the area, simply enjoying the company of those she loved.

Margaret faithfully served in many roles within her church including Relief Society President and counselor, Primary teacher, Cubmaster, and visiting teacher. She was also an active and beloved member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers (DUP), serving in various positions up until the time of her passing.

As a mother, Margaret taught by example. She demonstrated sacrifice, love, service, and kindness every day. She supported her children wholeheartedly in education, schoolwork, sports, Scouting, and countless activities and fundraisers. She never put herself first—she gave, cared, and showed up for others in the way only she could.

Margaret is survived by her siblings: Linda Marie Moore, Nancy May Clark, Grant Monroe Clark (Denise), Gene Howard Clark (Debbie), and Kenneth Dee Clark (Shirley); as well as many nieces and nephews; grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She is also warmly remembered by her cousins, neighbors, and dear friends.

At Margaret’s request, a private, simple family service will be held. Interment at the Albion LDS Cemetery will immediately follow for invited family members, with several family members serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Margaret’s name to a local food bank, to help others as she so naturally would have done.

Margaret faithfully fulfilled her roles as wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her legacy of love, compassion, thoughtfulness, service, and friendship will continue to live on through those who were blessed to know her.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home of Burley.

Dear Mama- I'm so glad I got one last hug, one last goodbye, one last kiss. I'm so thankful for you, your love, and your sacrifices you gave to allow us to have the most amazing childhood ever. As we have sat together over this last week, talking about you and the adventures you went on with us, one thing was very clear- you were always up for whatever. Of course you will be missed. You were the light in the middle of a dark room, and now we (your children) have to navigate a life without you. I love you more than the world. My girls will know not only of you, but of your character and the joy you brought to all of those around you. I love you.

It’s Margaret’s smile that we remember, she always seemed to be happy and enjoyed life. Margaret fiercely loved her children and enjoyed talking about them.
