RUPERT – Colby Wayne Boren, age 38, of Rupert, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025, at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Boise.
Colby was born in Killeen, Texas. The son of Lester Wayne Boren and Tamme LaRae Ford Snyder.
He graduated from Emmett High School and was so proud of this accomplishment. Due to medical issues Colby remained living with his mother, Tamme until his passing.
Colby is survived by his Momma, Tamme Snyder; his stepfather, Randy Wayne Snyder; his father, Lester (Ivanna) Boren; his brother, Clayton Boren; his nephew, Jacob and niece, Madilynn; his sister, Sharella (Ryan) Boren; his nephews, Jacolton and JayPea; his step sister, Alison Snyder; and niece Evie; his step brother, Mitch (Megan) Snyder; his nephew, Nikola; his uncles, Jim (Kelly) Ford, Kenny (Esmerelda) Ford, Danny (Debbie) Ford, Tony (Ari) Ford, Wesley (Julie) Boren; his aunts, Sharon (Jack) Blevins, Stella (Ron) Kiser, Joyce Wright, Linda Boren, Rita Boren, and many cousins and second cousins. He is also survived by many who are not blood but definitely family, Susan (Mel) Schindel, Iva (Josh) Paradis, Eva Frasier Gann, Brady Frasier, Ann Moncur, Jeremy (Kalyn) Piná, Dan (Nina) Hume, Skyler (Kelsey) Stephens, Erika Dockstader, Kameron (Billie) Melvin, and Esteban Salinas.
Colby was preceded in death by his brother, Jacob Boren, his maternal grandparents, Frank and Jean Ford; his paternal grandparents, Wesley and Betty Boren; his uncles, Skip Ford and Joe Boren; his great uncle, Harvey Wright; and his brother by choice, Jordy Piná.
Colby loved to be outdoors, he enjoyed fishing, camping, riding his bike, swimming, boating, and kayaking. He was not so fond of winter, but liked to snowboard with his bud Jeremy.
Colby played a lot of video games, and talked about his online friends. He would tell me, Mom I have to tell my friend I’m not going to be home or they will wonder why I’m not on our game, I’d say ok Colb. I didn’t realize how “real” his online friends were until a couple days after Colby passed. He received a facebook call on his phone and they asked why Colby hadn’t been online. When I told him Colby passed away he sobbed. It was then I realized Colby had touched more lives than I ever realized.
Colby’s favorite thing to do anytime was to hang out with his buddies Ann Moncur and Jeremy Piná. Colby went on many trips with Ann to Utah, zoos, car races, haunted houses, dinners, and walks. They were together every week.
Colby lived as much at Jeremy’s house as his own home. They were more than buddy’s they were like brothers. Not just Jeremy, we will just call them the Piná clan: Jeremy, Kaylyn, Kelsey, Skyler, Billie, Kameron, Esteban, Erika, Dan, Nina, Jen, and their children. They had weekly dart games, watched football and wrestling, had dinners, and went on many outings of camping, fishing, concerts, ice hockey games, and so many other fun outings and activities. Colby was most passionate about his football team The New England Patriots. He was a die hard fan. Colby and Jeremy would have long discussions about who had more memorabilia. Jeremy would say, dude, I’m the one who introduced you to the Patriots and you have more than I do. Colby also loved animals, it crushed him when his pal Marley (lab) died. He said he would never have another dog. Animals loved Colby too, they were so attracted to him. He loved our family dog Sodme, she misses him.
