Linda Lee Korsen

Feb. 2, 1943 - Apr. 21, 2025

Date of Service: May 2, 2025

PAUL – Linda Lee Korsen, an 82-year-old resident of Paul, went to be with her Lord and savior on Monday, April 21, 2025.

Linda was born February 2, 1943, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Calvin Hawk and Ruth Bagnall Hawk. Linda grew up and spent her youth on the homestead that her grandfather founded in 1905, in Rupert, Idaho. She enjoyed running and playing in the poplar trees with her sister. As a sophomore in high school Linda met the love of her life, Dan, in Spanish class. She and Dan started dating after he rescued her at a basketball game and gave her a ride home.

After Linda graduated from Minico High School and Idaho State University, she and Dan married. Soon after the birth of their two sons, Mark and Tony, they started Dan’s Tune Up and Repair in Paul. Shortly after starting their business, they had their third son, Jeff. Linda spent the early years of her life with Dan snowmobiling, rafting, enjoying the outdoors and racing cars, at which Linda was the only trophy winner. Linda loved her community and was very involved with the chamber of commerce, the West End Fire Department, and the City of Paul. After raising their children they spent countless hours in Ketchum, Idaho, watching hockey, enjoying family and being best friends to one another.

Linda is survived by her husband, Dan Korsen; sons, Mark (Jennie) Korsen, Tony (Myrna) Korsen, and Jeff (Amber) Korsen; five grandchildren, Danielle, Jessica, Brad, Tianna, Hunter, and Ashlie; and two great-grandchildren, Ava and Aydan.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, mother, and sister, Carol Munden.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley.

The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, May 2, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, located at 802 F St., in Rupert, with the Reverend Father Camilo Garcia as Celebrant. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 10 a.m. prior to the Mass. Urn placement will follow at Paul Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to be made to St. Nicholas Catholic School, P.O. Box 26, Rupert, ID 83350, in memory of Linda Lee Korsen.
