Kathlene Trell Humphreys

Feb. 5, 1942 - Mar. 8, 2025

BURLEY – Kathlene Trell Humphreys, an 83-year-old resident of Burley, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Highland Estates in Burley.

Kathlene was born February 5, 1942, in Hamilton, Montana, to Richard Trell Kennett and Arlene Mabel Kennedy. She spent most of her youth in Stevensville, Montana. She had two children, John G. Flam and Tanya A. Spaulding.

Kathlene was a very independent woman, learning many skills throughout her life. She was known for her handyman/carpenter capabilities along with her outstanding baking skills. She owned and operated a bakery in Stevensville for many years and made many friends there.

Kathy loved nature and being outdoors, especially camping. She loved music and would be seen dancing anytime the music caught her fancy.

On August 31, 1998, Kathy married the love of her life, Billy Humphreys. They moved to Rupert and bought a home in 2007, as the climate was better for Bill’s health. Together, they did many renovations to this home and yard, creating a sanctuary they both loved.

Kathy then moved to Highland Estates in 2023, where she spent the remainder of her life. Her family would like to thank all her friends and caregivers during the last few years.

She is survived by her son, John Flam (Kathleen Konstantinos) of Maui, Hawaii; and daughter, Tanya Spaulding of Checotah, Oklahoma; siblings, Scott Kennett of West Jordan, Utah, Joni Haddox of Twin Falls, Lisa (Jerry) Buerkle of Rupert and Trell (Natalia) Kennett of Montview, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy; parents, Richard and Arlene; sisters, Kristen Kennett Taylor, Peggy Kennett; and granddaughter, Tara Flam.

No services will be held at this time.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home of Burley.
