Linda Rae Smith

Jan. 25, 1951 - Jan. 25, 2025

TWIN FALLS – Linda Rae Smith, age 74, of Twin Falls and formerly of Burley, passed away peacefully on her birthday, Saturday, January 25, 2025, at her daughter’s home in Twin Falls.

Linda was born January 25, 1951, in Burley, Idaho, the daughter of Robert Allen Green and Donna Fern (Kidd) Green. When Linda was in the fourth grade her mother passed away unexpectedly. Following this event, she would be raised for most of her upbringing by her loving stepmother, June Green.

Linda was known throughout her life for her caring nature, her devotion to her faith, and her love and dedication to her children. She was deeply religious, dedicating her life to serving her Heavenly Father with unwavering devotion.

A lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, Linda found joy in cheering for her team during the football season. Her caring and giving spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She was one of the most selfless people you could meet, always putting others first and offering a helping hand when needed. Her infectious laugh and silly ways will be forever remembered by her family and friends, who sometimes laughed at her and sometimes laughed with her.

Linda is survived by her two beloved children, Tami Mullard and Scott (Tedi) Thompson, both of Twin Falls; her sister, Paula McElhinney; four grandchildren, Jordan Arbaugh, Myles Smith, Tanner Jensen, and Hallie Gibson; as well as a great-granddaughter, Emory Arbaugh. She also leaves behind her beloved Yorkie dog, Nikki.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, June Green “GG” as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren; her husband, Phil Smith; and her sister, Arlena Taylor.

Linda’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.

A graveside service at the Oakley, Idaho Cemetery will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home of Burley.
