From Jan Brown:
Dear Joanne and Family,
It has been my privilege to know Steve, a truly great man. He was gentle, loving, and kind—someone who embraced everyone with warmth. I first met him in 1980 when he married Joanne and joined our neighborhood. Over the years, our friendship grew as we raised our children together, sharing wonderful memories of neighborhood gatherings, football games, scouting, and ward activities.
As our Bishop, Steve had a profound influence on the youth. His kindness and service never wavered. After my husband passed, he often checked in on me, a kindness I deeply appreciated.
I send my heartfelt condolences to Joanne and your family. May God’s peace and love surround you during this difficult time.
Lovingly, Jan Brown
From Tamara Holbrook Hyatt:
Steve is such a gentle, kind soul and I always had so much fun when I came to visit him and play with all of our cousins when I was little!! When we got older I always looked up to him as adults and over our long conversations of all the fun we had with our families and over life's challenges! He certainly will be missed!! Sending lots of prayers, hugs and loves to Joanne, Ann Marie, Ryan, Calvin and family. May you feel peace and comfort through our prayers.
From karol m molnar:
Meeting Joanne and Steve when I moved to Burley in l995. One felt the warmth of both. Steve spoke at the
funeral of my grandson, Alex Rauh, and my daughter Lohry Molnar Coltrin. I moved away from Burley
in 2006; and made a point to drop by to visit them several times. Steve was patient, gentle and kind.
He will be missed by many.....
