Service Program

PAUL – Todd D. Rasmussen, a 56-year-old resident of Paul, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024, at his home in Paul surrounded and comforted by his family.

Todd was born on November 25, 1968, to Lloyd “Schooney” Rasmussen and Alta LaRue Rasmussen. He was born and raised in Rupert, Idaho.

Todd Found his true love, Jodi Beck, in November of 1988, and unforseen circumstances separated them for years. After a number of years they reconnected again in 2013. They were then married on June 6, 2015. Todd had no children of his own but claimed the four adult children and grandchildren that came with his marriage.

For the many trials he had in his life; whether it was due to his health or the demons that tried to lead him astray, he was always willing to do what he could for others. He would drop what he was doing and run to whomever needed his help. He had one of the biggest hearts; you just had to know him to see it.

Todd drove semi truck for 25 + years. He loved every truck he drove but his favorite was a Peterbilt. After struggling with medical issues he had to stop driving and go on disability. All his time was then free to go camping, fishing, and spending time with his loved ones. He also loved to ride his Harley and was a member of Brothers in Christ ministry, his extended family.

Todd is survived by his wife, Jodi Rasmussen; his four step-children, Brett Beck, Heather Beck, David Smith, and Hayley Smith; his mother, Alta Rasmussen; his brother, Rodney Rasmussen; and ten grandchildren, Ilene Banks “his princess”, Adelyn Kennison, Skylar Beck, Jacob Huskinson, Kbell Huskinson, Brently Huskinson, Cordillia Beck, Braxton Beck, Harlyn Beck, Xander Smith, and soon-to-be, Remington Smith.

Todd was preceded in death by his great-grandparents and grandparents; his father, Lloyd “Schooney” Rasmussen; a brother, “TJ” Troy Rasmussen; and a grandson, Stanly James Smith.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7, at Valley Vu Cemetery in Malta, where he and his mother, Alta, will be laid to rest. Family and friends may gather at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home at 9:00 a.m. The cortège will leave for the cemetery at 9:15 a.m.
