BURLEY – Gilbert Gonzalez Jr., was born August 22, 1964, in Rupert, Idaho, to Gilberto and Olga Gonzalez. He passed away peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the age of 60, at his home in Burley.

Gilbert was a devoted husband, loving father, and hardworking businessman, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and perseverance. Gilbert was the proud owner and operator of a successful landscaping business Total Landscape & Tree for over 10 years. His creativity, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence earned him the admiration of his clients and the respect of his community. His work brought life and beauty to countless homes and businesses, a reflection of the care he poured into everything he did.

Gilbert was a family man who cherished his loved ones deeply, he was preceded in death by both parents, one brother, (Louis), and one sister, (Martha).

He is survived by his four siblings, Irene, Isabel, Maria, and Oscar; and his beloved wife, Dorinna, who stood by his side through every challenge and triumph; their four children, Skyler(Tiffany), Destiny(Ricky), Bethany, and Samuel(Jasmine); and nine grandchildren, who he loved very much, Aryana, Kambrie, Rocky, Kaitlyn, Avalynn, Jaxon, Brooklyn, Gracelynn, Aiden.

He was a constant source of support, wisdom, and love for his family, teaching them the value of hard work, kindness, and resilience. His unwavering dedication to his family was matched only by the joy he found in spending time with them, whether at family gatherings, sharing laughs, or simply being together. Gilbert will be remembered for his generous spirit, his boundless love for his family, and the beauty he left behind in the lives he touched.

Above all Gilbert loved God, he loved his church family, he was a faithful member of Truth Tabernacle, As we mourn his passing, we take comfort in the knowledge that Gilbert is now in the presence of the Lord, where he has found eternal peace and rest. We rejoice knowing that he has made heaven his home, where there is no more pain, sorrow, or suffering. His legacy of faith will continue to inspire all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his impact will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in care of Dorinna Gonzalez benevolence fund P.O. Box 144 Paul, ID 83347.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 5, at the Truth Tabernacle, 2459 Hiland Avenue, in Burley, with Pastor Quinn Yarbrough officiating. Burial will be at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Burley.

Friends may call from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, at Truth Tabernacle, 2459 Hiland Avenue, in Burley at the and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Thursday prior to the service at the church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home of Burley.

Gilbert was a person of integrity and he will be missed by many. He was a blessing to all that knew him. I always enjoyed visiting with him over the many days that he worked on Landscaping my yard. I am so grateful for Gilbert making my home livable. It will be hard for anyone to do what he did as well as he did it. I will remember Gilbert when I look out at my yard.
