BURLEY – Ana Maria King, a 67-year-old resident of Burley, passed away suddenly Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Cassia Regional Hospital in Burley.

She was born Oct. 5, 1956, in Lubbock, TX to Trinidad and Bertha R. Rodriguez Trejo. Ana grew up in the Mini-Cassia area and attended schools in Burley and Rupert. She received her GED through the College of Southern Idaho and then took some other courses and obtained her CNA certificate.

Throughout her life Ana worked as a CNA for Minidoka Memorial Hospital in Rupert, Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Mini-Cassia Care Center in Burley, and also worked at Ore-Ida/McCain Foods as a Quality Control Lab Technician for many years.

Ana absolutely loved animals and had many cats. She also enjoyed reading, traveling, crocheting, and crafts. Ana was a strong believer in her Christian faith. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Ana is loved and will be missed by her loving husband, Gary King; her three daughters, Christina (Jose Alvarado) Salinas, of Burley, Veronica (Jamie Sr.) Valdez, of Burley and Alisa (Paul) Dome, of Kuna; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Rosario Jimenez, of Burley. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 26, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley. The interment will follow at Rupert Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, July 25, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Friday, prior to the service.
