BURLEY – Jimmie Randall (Randy) Orthman, age 65, of Burley, passed away at his home on Sunday, May 19, 2024.

He was born January 30, 1959, in Burley, Idaho, to Jimmie Lynn and Shirley Ann Orthman. Randy grew up in Albion, Idaho, with his four siblings. On November 6, 1974, he married Patricia Sandlian of Burley, Idaho. Together they had seven children. He spent some years in the automotive and farm equipment repair business and received certification for automotive technology through Idaho State University. He also spent many years in the transportation field doing both long and short-haul truck driving.

Randy loved music, camping, fishing, long ATV rides and being outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his family and had a love for animals, especially his cats and dogs. He had the best sense of humor and will be deeply missed.

Randy is survived by his life partner of 50 years, Patty; his children, Stacey (Christian) Quantrell, Robin (Frank) Page, Jeremy (Leslie) Orthman, Mandy Johnson, Billy (Irene) Orthman and Kory (Jamy) Orthman; 19 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Cindy (Wade) Allen, Russel Orthman, and Joani (Brock) Winmill; and many other nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Orthman; parents, Jim and Shirley Orthman; father- in-law, Clyde Sandlian; sister, Cathy Thompson; grandparents, Lynn and Ella Mae Orthman and John and Rachell Rumsey; and nephews, Jessie and Steven Thompson.

A memorial service will be held at 11a.m. Friday, May 31, 2024, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 East 16th Street in Burley. Urn placement will follow at Albion City Cemetery in Albion, Idaho.
