BURLEY – (Junie/Gator) Juan R. Martinez Jr., age 51, of Burley, passed away suddenly, Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Cassia Regional Hospital in Burley, surrounded by his wife and friends.
Gator was born May 1, 1972, in Del Rio, Texas. He was the son of Rebecca Garza. The family moved to Burley in 1992. In 1993, he met the love of his life, Janie Garcia; they were married for 30 years. In 1994, Gator became a truck driver, he drove truck for 22 years. He always helped people, including many people through FEMA. Gator was a funny, loving, giving man. He always had a joke to tell.
Gator is survived by his wife, Janie of Burley; his mother, Rebecca; his brother, Mike; and sister, Brenda, all of Texas; his son, Jesse (Mandi); and his grandson, Griffey.
He will be missed by his uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends from Texas. Gator was a good friend to many and was loved by many.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 12, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley.
