BURLEY – Pedro Gonzalez, a 20-year-old resident of Burley, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was born May 22, 2003, in Burley, Idaho, the son of Jose Pablo and Diana Patricia Gonzalez. A graduate from Cassia High School, class of 2021.
Pedro was a great son, brother, and friend. He will be remembered and missed by all those who had the chance to be a part of his life.
He is survived by his parents, Jose Pablo and Diana Patricia Gonzalez; his siblings, Cesar Alcantar and Anahi Gonzalez; grandmother (maternal), Juana Mojica; grandmother (paternal), Maria Garay Holgin; and many family and friends.
Pedro was preceded in death by his grandfather (maternal), Javier Alcantar; grandfather (paternal), Pedro Gonzalez; and cousin, Noah Alexander Alcantar.
A vigil service will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, February 19, at St. Therese the Little Flower Catholic Church, located a 1601 Oakley Ave., in Burley. The recitation of the rosary will begin at 6 p.m.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 20, at St. Therese the Little Flower Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Gem Memorial Gardens in Burley.

Nació el 22 de mayo del 2003 en Burley, ID, hijo de José Pablo y Diana Patricia González. Graduado de Cassia High School, clase de 2021.
Pedro fue un gran hijo, hermano y amigo. Será recordado y extrañado por todos aquellos que tuvieron la oportunidad de ser parte de su vida.
Lo sobreviven sus padres José Pablo y Diana Patricia González, su hermano Cesar Alcantar, Anahí González, la abuela (materna) Juana Mojica, la abuela (paterna) María Garay Holgin; muchos familiares y amigos.
A Pedro le precedieron en la muerte su abuelo (materno) Javier Alcantar; abuelo (paterno) Pedro González; primo Noah Alexander Alcantar.
Un servicio de vigilia se llevará a cabo de 5 a 7 p.m. el Lunes 19 de Febrero en la Iglesia Católica St. Therese, ubicada en 1601 Oakley Ave., en Burley. El rezo del rosario comenzará a las 6 p.m.
La Misa fúnebre se celebrará a las 11 a.m. el Martes 20 de Febrero en la Iglesia Católica Santa Therese. El entierro se llevará a cabo en Gem Memorial Gardens en Burley.
