From Lindy Edwards (Van Marter):
Kristine and I were first cousins; our mothers were sisters. My family lived in Tacoma, WA and Dad would drive us to Wendell, Idaho most summers. Kristine was 2 years older than I was and I always thought she was so pretty. She was a beautiful seamstress. And she could sure "hold her own" with all those brothers! I'm glad I have so many wonderful memories of being with her on the farm, and the great summer she went with my family to Disneyland. She was 16 and already knew she was going to marry Danny Hondo!
From Carolyn Van Marter Hinkle:
Fly in joy, my dear cousin Kristine. I have so many happy memories of family vacations in Idaho. I will always remember when you went with us on our family vacation to Disneyland when you were 17 and I was 12. Danny, DeWayne and Brooks, you are in my heart and prayers.
From Blythe Miller:
Aunt Kris, you will always be loved and cherished. You were involved in the community, church, 4H, farming, politics, family reunions and sister adventures. I could go on and on but nothing compared to the love you have for your sons and granddaughters. You were filled with so much appreciation for family. Kris, you set a wonderful example of a life well lived. We will always hold onto the memories you created for each of us. Miss you.
