Date of Service: Sep. 1, 2022

HEYBURN – Sandra Lee Dressel, a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Cassia Regional Hospital in Burley, from complications related to COVID-19. She was 74 years old.

Sandra was born October 24, 1947, in Rochester, Pennsylvania, to Harry Starr and Margaret Witts. She eventually moved to Ohio, where she lived in different cities and towns and finally made Girard, Ohio, her home. It was while living in Girard that she met and married Kenneth Charles Dressel, Sr. This union was blessed with three children. She and Kenneth later divorced. In 1981, she, along with her three children, moved to Idaho where she has since resided.

Sandra was stricken with polio at the age of five; however, this dreaded disease did not define her! She led a full and happy life. She received an associate degree and worked for 20 years as a secretary for Life, Inc. She was a strong woman, was very independent, and exemplified great faith in the trials she faced throughout her life. She was always kind and generous to everyone she came in contact with. She leaves behind a family that will never forget her!

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Patricia Buncic.

Survivors include her sisters, Peggy Rounds of Rupert, and Kathy Mills of Ohio; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Cynthia Rounds of Girard, Ohio; two daughters, Tina (Vern) Green and Kelly (Larry) Clark, both of Burley; one son, Kenny Dressel of Heyburn; ten grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 1, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Heyburn.
