Adelita Staker

May 17, 1953 - Jun. 25, 2026

Adelita Staker HEYBURN – Adelita (Ramirez) Staker, age 73, of Heyburn, passed away at her home with her two youngest adult children by her side, on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

Adelita was born May 17, 1953, in Uvalde, Texas. She was raised by her maternal great-grandmother, Cruz and remained in Texas until the age of eight. Her love of her home in Texas has always stayed true.

Adelita, also lovingly nicknamed “Lala” was the pillar for all her siblings. Everyone wanted to be around her.

On February 16, 1974, Adelita married Gaylen Staker in Burley, Idaho, and together they raised six children. Mom often reminded everyone of the hurt she carried over the loss of her infant daughter, Carmen. She can finally carry her baby in her arms in Heaven.

Adelita had many hobbies and was very talented at what she did. She loved to decorate her yard with flowers and for many years it was admired by all who visited. When she wasn’t outside she enjoyed remodeling and decorating her home, her never ending project, where as her children grew taller the walls shrank smaller from all the layers of paint. She was gifted at finding junky furniture and turning it into something beautiful and from there she would throw her grand yard sales, usually by the side of her partner in crime, her mother, Corina Ramirez. The two would then put on their nicest outfits and enjoy time playing in Jackpot.

Adelita will be missed so deeply by all who knew her. She will always be loved and forever remain in our hearts.

Adelita is survived by her husband, Gaylen Staker; her brother, Adan Ramirez; her brother, Ramiro Ramirez (Becky); her sister, Maria Ramirez; her sister, Eudelia Morris; her sister, Corina Sprenger; her brother, Mark Ramirez; her sister, Diana Ramirez; her son, Gregory Staker (Becky); her daughter, Kristina Staker; her son, Nathan Staker (Billie); her daughter, Megan Staker (Mike); her daughter, Elizabeth Staker; her son, Seth Staker; and many grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Camen T. Staker; mother, Corina Ramirez; father, Adan Ramirez; nephew, Jason Rebollozo; nephew, Sean Ramirez; and niece, Jessica Chapa.

A funeral Mass will celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, located at 802 F St., in Rupert, with The Reverend Father Camilo Garcia as Celebrant. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will commence at 9:15 a.m. prior to the service. A luncheon will follow the service at the parish hall.
