Alvin Lee Temple Alvin Lee Temple, 88, passed away peacefully on the evening of December 15, 2025, just shy of his 89th birthday, surrounded by his loving family.

Alvin was born February 1, 1937, in Burley, Idaho, to Alva and Viola Temple. One of Alvin’s passions was cars; he started working at Fronk Motors and later he would go on to start his own business, Al’s Truck and Auto Salvage. You could often find Al working on one of his many cars, especially his daughters’ cars. He was always on hand to help and knew how to make you laugh.

He was a good man, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Virgil Temple, and Paul Temple; and sister, Norma Dietz. He is survived by his brother, Melvin Temple; and sister, Doris Gibson. Alvin also leaves behind his wife, Marlene Temple; his daughters, Deborah Gilb (Steve), and Lisa Mick; grandchildren, Tawny Crisp (Jasen), Dylan Mick, Canyon Lund (Alex), Alison Steinbacher (Ryan Goforth), and Sofia Steinbacher.

The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E 16th Street, in Burley. After the funeral, all are welcome to join the Celebration of Life lunch at Morey’s Steakhouse, located at 219 E. 3rd St. N., in Burley.
