Date of Service: Sep. 27, 2025
MURTAUGH – Jeffrey Lynn Warr, a 59-year-old resident of Murtaugh, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
He was born October 2, 1965, in Burley, Idaho, to Frank Sr. and Donna Warr. Jeff grew up alongside his two brothers and one sister, spending much of his childhood helping with farm work and chores, learning the value of hard work from an early age. Jeff developed a lifelong love for the outdoors.
In November 17, 2001, Jeff married the love of his life, Kim Van Leuven, and together they built a strong and lasting bond. Their marriage was filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to one another. Jeff was a constant source of support and care for Kim. Together, they created a blended family, bringing Jeff’s two daughters and Kim’s son and daughter. Alongside his devotion to his family, Jeff worked for Milner Irrigation. He began as a ditch rider in November 1996, and through hard work and determination, rose to the role of Manager retiring in his final days.
Outside of work, whenever he had a weekend off call, you could be sure to find Jeff in the mountains camping, riding four-wheelers, and soaking in the beauty of nature. Jeff found his greatest joy outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, and camping, often taking his kids and family on adventures that created lifelong memories. In recent years, he and Kim enjoyed long (Jackpot) trips in side-by-sides with his brothers, their wives, and friends, covering miles of trails and sharing laughter along the way. Jeff also loved boating on the Snake River, right behind their home, where he made it his mission to give the kids thrilling rides on the tubes, sending them soaring into the air. He also had a passion for hunting, faithfully putting in for a tag every year and treasuring the time spent deer hunting as part of his outdoor traditions.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Kim Warr; his brothers, Frank Warr Jr. (Donna), and Justin Warr (Tiffany); his sister, LaDonna Gardner; sister-in-law, Dena Allen (Josh); children, Kayla Nozaki, Brittney Olds, Trevor Simmons, LaNelle Simmons, and Matthew Nozaki; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Kassen Nozaki, Carter Nozaki, Gianna Lawrence, Maddox Lawrence, and Aniyah Hartridge. Jeff also leaves behind his spicy mini schnauzer, Zoey, who was always by his side.
Jeff was preceded in death by his loving parents, Frank Sr. and Donna Warr, who both also passed away too young.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Joyce, a remarkable hospice nurse, whose kindness and dedication brought comfort to Jeff in his final days. Her compassion, gentle spirit, and unwavering support provided peace not only to Jeff, but also to the entire family during a very difficult time. Joyce’s care was nothing short of extraordinary, and her presence will always be remembered with love and appreciation.
Family and friends will be received from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, September 26, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 27, at Paul Cemetery, in Paul, Idaho.
