PAUL – Arthur Page McNeil, a 96-year-old resident of Nampa and formerly of Paul, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025, at his daughter’s home in Nampa, where he had resided the past four years.
He was born April 14, 1928, in Bountiful, Utah, the son of Quinn and Louise Page McNeil. He received and completed his education in the Salt Lake City area. He served in the United States Navy during World War II as a Hospital Corpsman Petty Officer 2nd Class. Arthur worked in the equine industry all of his life as a horse breeder. He was a skilled carpenter and enjoyed all aspects of woodworking.
He is survived by his oldest son, David Craig McNeil; four children from his marriage to Dee McNeil: JoDee Gaillard (Steve), Danny McNeil (Kim), Tammy McNeil, and Susan Cummings (Keith); two children from his marriage to Lois Mae Sexton (whom he married in 1965): Justin McNeil (Wendy) and Lisa McNeil (Terry Castleberry); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Gwendolyn Miller and Connie Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mike McNeil; and ten siblings.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Paul Stake Center, located at 424 W. Ellis St., in Paul, where family and friends will be received from 10 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial with military rites performed by the Mini-Cassia Veterans Group will follow the service at Paul Cemetery.
