Melba Jean Koyle Lind DECLO – Melba Jean Koyle Lind was born in Burley, Idaho, on April 18, 1934, to Ross Fielding and Emma Fay Jolley Koyle. She passed away at home surrounded by family on Thursday, December 19, 2024.

She grew up in the Willow Creek area and attended school in Burley, Idaho. She was the seventh child of 12 children. She married Ray Elden Lind on October 1, 1953, in the Logan Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, spending the next 71 years together.

Melba Jean enjoyed working with Elden on the farm, on the ranch, and in the home with the family. She loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and tried her best to serve the Lord faithfully.

Melba Jean is survived by her husband, Elden Lind; children, Rodney Lind (Cathy), Susan Lind, Harvey Lind (Kaye), and Jolene Zwingelberg (Ron); 11 grandchildren, Melinda Lloyd, Ryan, Shirlyn, Catrina, Austin, and Travis Lind, Tabitha Hurd, Samantha Nelson, Mckenzie Knopsnyder, and Richard and Nethanel Price; four great-grandchildren, Shylee, Tayson, Avery, and Stetzen; her brothers, Orland Koyle and Rulon Koyle (Karen); and her sisters, Karen Searle (Paul) and Ranaye Winfrey (Marvin).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Faye Koyle; seven siblings, Ester Galbraith, Lester Koyle, John Koyle, George Koyle, Lavon Koyle, Milton Koyle, and Paul Koyle.

The family expresses their sincere appreciation to the Intermountain Homecare and Hospice doctor and nurses who provided loving care to Melba Jean.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 27, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Declo Idaho Stake Center, located at 213 W. Main St., in Declo. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Burley.

Family and friends will be received from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, December 26, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Friday, preceding the funeral, at the church.
