Kelly Blane
Simon
Jul. 8, 1971 - Nov. 15, 2024
Date of Service: Nov. 22, 2024
BURLEY – Kelly Blane Simon, the youngest of five children, was born to Price and Carrol Simon on July 8, 1971. He went home to be with the Lord, his dad, and his siblings on November 15, 2024, in Burley, Idaho.
Throughout his life, Kelly was a man of integrity and a dedicated worker, whether employed at Culligan Water in Utah or running his own businesses–Simon’s Cleaners, Simon’s Janitorial, and American Overhead. He was a best friend to many, a man of service, and a man of God. With his contagious smile and generous spirit, he always knew the right thing to say or how to help. He met countless people through his work, always treating everyone with acceptance and respect. His love for others was evident not only in his service to his customers but also in the care he provided for his children. This love and dedication were further demonstrated over the past eight years as he provided a home and care for his mother, a blessing that enriched both of their lives.
As the ultimate “girl dad,” Kelly loved and doted on his daughters. His daughters, Jordan, Kaidan, and Bradie (his favorite, as he often joked) were his pride and joy, and he took great pleasure in celebrating their accomplishments, both big and small. He was always there for them, whether organizing fun adventures or offering wise advice. He treated them with love and understanding while encouraging them to strive for their best. His grandchildren, Kaya, Brylee, and Oliver brought him immense happiness, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Kelly’s passions extended beyond his family. He loved camping, fishing, golfing, and treasure hunting at thrift stores and yard sales. While some might call him a hoarder, Kelly proudly considered himself a “collector.” He loved buying and repairing watches, even having specific ones for each holiday. Finding new items to add to his collections brought him great joy.
Kelly’s faith was the foundation of his life. One of his favorite Bible verses, John 3:16, was a testament to his belief in the grace and love of God: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” This verse serves as a reminder that Kelly will always be with us, watching over us.
He was preceded in death by his father, Price; his brother, William; and his sister, Lisa.
He is survived by his mother, Carrol; his sister, Lynn (Rick); his daughters, Jordan (Kale), Kaidan (Maclane), and Bradie; his beloved grandchildren, Kaya, Brylee, and Oliver; his fiancé, Tanette; along with her sons, Caleb (Brook), Jake (Jordyn), and Josh (Ashley); and grandsons, Lucas and Cole; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Kelly touched the lives of everyone he met, leaving behind a community of friends and family who will deeply miss his laughter, wisdom, and unwavering friendship.
A celebration of Kelly’s life will be held to honor the incredible man he was. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
Family and friends will be received from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, November 22, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley.
