Gail (LaVell) Ferrin

Jul. 13, 1928 - May 10, 2024

Date of Service: May 22, 2024

Gail (LaVell) Ferrin RUPERT – LaVell Ferrin, a devoted family man and jack of all trades, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones at Parke View Rehabilitation and Care Center in Burley.

Born July 13, 1928, in Burley, Idaho, LaVell spent his life dedicated to his family and working hard to build his family legacy. LaVell was a constant presence in the lives of his family members, always available to lend a helping hand. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and supporting them in every way possible. Whether it was cheering them on at sport activities, attending school events, or working on projects together, LaVell was always there to offer guidance on how to do it the correct way, his way.

LaVell was known for his gruff, yet humorous demeanor, often saying "use your head" and "who's that" with a furrowed brow when someone was coming down the driveway, despite claiming he couldn't see or hear well, he would surprisingly notice tiny details and hear whispers from another room.

LaVell was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Louise Ferrin, whom he shared everything with. Together, they built a life filled with love, legacy, and mostly labor, as they worked tirelessly to provide a good and better life for their children.

He leaves to cherish his memory three sons and one daughter, and their spouses: Kelly and Barbara Ferrin, Trent and Bonnie Ferrin, Gay and Jeff Miller, and Cary and Amy Ferrin. His legacy continues through his ten grandchildren: Jordan, Chelsey, Jessica, Nicole, Eric, Kade, Amanda, Joe, Zoe, and Andrew, as well as his 16 great-grandchildren.

Rest in peace, Dad. Your love, dedication, and legacy will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
