Lyndsie Ann Povlsen BURLEY – The way Lyndsie’s face lit up when she saw her family, friends and customers was a pure example of the genuine love that flowed from her soul. Lyndsie Ann Povlsen, 32, of Burley, Idaho, entered eternity on Sunday, April 7, 2024.

Lyndsie was born March 20, 1992 to Robert Rulon and Debra Dawn Hartley Povlsen, joining two sisters and a brother – later to receive a baby sister. Her early childhood was spent “dressed up,” usually in a t-shirt, tights, jewelry and cowboy boots – only to soon bathe in mud before cooking an amazing meal seasoned with sticks, rocks and leaves.

Lyndsie loved fun and adventure – it brought her joy, and a few trials. At 12 years old she defied all odds recovering from an ATV accident that gave her severe brain trauma. She loved camping, fishing and float trips down the river – and really loved taking her dogs with her – the water was therapeutic to her. Lyndsie had a soft spot for her pets and treated them with such care – her other joy was houseplants and she enjoyed sharing them with friends.

Lyndsie graduated from Burley High School in 2010 and stepped right into the customer service field. Waitressing, and then working as a Bank Teller, she loved people and they loved her. Her regulars would wait in her long line, so she could help them. They would ask for her table, so she could wait on them. Her smile was warm and welcoming. Lyndsie was kind and often helped those down in their luck. She would say, “I don’t know what his story is, but it’s my responsibility to help and between him and God how he spends it.” That statement sums up how soft her heart is.

Lyndsie married Thomas Moss in 2018 and enjoyed five years of pursuing adventures in the outdoors.

Lyndsie always had a smile on her face, when she caught your eye – she smiled. Her kind smile brought you from your sad thoughts, gave you a moment of joy, and warmed your heart. She initiated the “I love you” at the end of the calls and visits. We knew how much she loved us, and we loved her, too.

Lyndsie is survived by her parents, Rob and Debbie Povlsen; brother, Shaun Povlsen; sisters, Mandy (Damon) Malberg, Lacey Goodheart and Whitney (Josh) Hall; as well as many nieces and nephews who love her immensely.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 12, at First Baptist Church, located at 2262 Hiland Ave., in Burley, with Pastor Brian Livermore officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home of Burley.
