Sally Ann Allred SALT LAKE CITY – Sally Ann (Brooks) Allred, 92, of Salt Lake City, and former longtime resident of Burley, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, in Salt Lake City.

Sally was born April 24, 1931, in Burley, Idaho to John and Cora (Taylor) Brooks. She graduated from Burley High School in 1949 and attended University of Utah. In 1950, she was married to Chall Allred and together they raised three children.

Sally was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was active in many community organizations: Better Homes Club, Ladies Literary Club, Bridge Clubs and Does (Lady Elks).

Some of her interests included gardening, bridge, reading and needlework. Sally maintained a beautiful home and yard where her family loved to visit.

In 2011, Sally and Chall moved to Salt Lake City where they lived at the Wellington Assisted Living, near their daughter, Nancy.

Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Chall; her parents; and her sister, Jeanne Winters.

She is survived by her children, Mary Ann Bramhall (Tim) of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, Howard Allred (Ann) of Bend, Oregon, and Nancy Whipple (Jeff) of Sandy, Utah; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 29, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, where family and friends will be received from 10 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Burley.
