Katina Monica Delis Dickson

Feb. 7, 1954 - Feb. 9, 2022

Katina Monica Delis Dickson HEYBURN – Katina Monica Delis Dickson, 68, devoted wife, mother, Yia-Yia, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2022, at Portneuf Medical Center, in Pocatello.

Tina was born on February 7, 1954, to Costa and Ruth Delis, in Klamath Falls, Oregon. She was their third child and only daughter. The family moved to Bakersfield, California, in 1955, while her father, Costa, was working in the produce business with his brother, Nick Delis. In 1962, Nick purchased a potato packing shed in Paul, Idaho. In the summer of 1964, the Costa Delis family moved to Idaho to begin their adventure in the Idaho Potato business.

She worked in the family potato business most of her life. After her parents retired, she managed the office in the packing shed, working with her husband, Dennis, who sold potatoes for the packing shed. Her oldest brother, Pete, managed the packing shed, and her brother, Steve, managed the farm, raising potatoes for the shed. It was a true family business and everyone did their part to make it a success. She retired in February, 2020, allowing her and Dennis to spend more time at their home in Roatan, Honduras.

Dennis and Tina loved to travel and saw many beautiful places in the USA and around the world. Their favorite destination was their house in Roatan, Mom’s true happy place. She made many amazing friends in Roatan and she loved them dearly.

She is survived by Dennis, her husband of 40 years; her four sons, Dean, Jeffrey (Miranda), Kelly (Monica), and Kristopher; her daughter, Kristina; 13 grandchildren; and her brothers, Pete (Maria) and Steve (LaLanne). She was preceded in death by her parents, Costa and Ruth.

At Tina’s request, there will be no funeral service. Donations in her memory can be made to St. Nicholas Catholic School, PO Box 26, Rupert, Idaho, 83350. A celebration of life will be held this summer when we can all enjoy the sun, warm weather, and a nice glass of wine on the patio to celebrate her eternal life.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home of Burley.
